Julie McGregor and Love of Books

Julie McGregor worked very hard to establish the business that was then residing at Love of Books.
Many authors amounting to well over 1000 authors from all walks of life of varying ages from 12 to 97 years of age were assisted by Julie McGregor. Some of the testimonials below reflect the true character of Julie McGregor.
Unfortunately, from the month of November 2013 to the Month of March 2014 Julie McGregor suffered a series of events where her mother died, her father became very ill in hospital, her sister had a breakdown due to the stress and her husband became terminally ill. It was during this time that her business was trusted by some people who ultimately betrayed her trust. This led to a road of considerable discomfort for not only Julie McGregor and her family but to many authors who were in the system during this very uncomfortable time.

Julie hasd worked hard, very long hours in an attempt to combat damage control and the full outcome of this will very sensitive matter will be posted online in due course.
As a published author and director of a publishing company, I am pleased to confirm that Love of Books - through their directors John and Julie McGregor and the rest of their team - offer their services with impeccable professionalism and unmatched passion for everything relating to books and publishing.
...
Julie provided me with one on one contact and guidance every step of the way. Words cannot express my gratitude to Julie and her assistance through this whole process, which ranged from formatting my book, to the type of paper to use, to advice regarding photos, to margins to use, to the cover design, to tweaking the photos to look professional and more. I cannot thank you enough Julie and your team at Love of Books. Many thanks, Julie. Kerry Withoos. www.irritablebowels.com.au

When we first made contact with Julie McGregor, Director of 'Love of Books' she fully appreciated our needs and arranged to meet us. Julie readily answered all our queries and it soon became apparent that she was technical across all the issues involved in getting a book printed. She assured us that our deadline could meet. What impressed us most was that Julie was genuine and straightforward in all her answers and came across as someone we believed we could rely on. From this initial meeting until the final draft for printing, a time frame that also included having to have a book cover designed, we found that Julie made herself willingly available by email, telephone or personal contact. She promptly answered and addressed any issues or problems as they arose. Her diligence took any possible frustration and stress out of the whole process making it an overall enjoyable experience.

I can not thank Julie enough for all the help and assistance she has given me over the last six months. She has enabled a dream to become a reality. Julie has assisted me in so many ways - in practical terms with the page set up, page numbering, fonts etc. With guidance in formats, marketing ideas and formalities. She was always available and always promptly replied to my emails (and they were numerous). And my cover design - everyone loves it and comments on its professional appearance. Thanks again Julie, I couldn't have done it without you. A cookbook with a difference.
...
I found Julie to be most professional and very competitive in her pricing. She went out of her way to make sure the book was printed in the time frame we had agreed upon. What I especially thank her for was the way she made herself available to be contacted seven days a week. Not for the Faint-Hearted- Eliza's Story is a memoir book set in the last half of the nineteenth century. Eliza relates how her family took up a virgin block of land in the Central Highlands region of Queensland. It is a story of hardship told with a great deal of humour and she also tells of the struggle between the pioneers and the indigenous people in that time of our history.

Julie and her team have the utmost integrity and they helped me realize my dream of publishing my own book.
...
I contacted Julie and we got the process underway. We had 1000 copies printed and the result has been absolutely excellent. Julie was able to offer a far better price than we had previously been able to come up with (it's quite a big book weighing 2 kg, with numerous colour photographs), and we are delighted with the quality of the printing, including the colour photographs and the strong binding. Love of Books has provided us with a beautiful looking, high-quality book that has produced unsolicited compliments from a number of buyers, local and overseas. To say the least, this has been a huge relief to us! Julie and her staff have always been pleasant and efficient to deal with, and have offered us services beyond our expectations. I am very happy to recommend her company and its services, especially to others like ourselves who may be wondering, with a little desperation, just who they can turn to!
